The benefits of this winter employment contract are numerous, making it an attractive option for those seeking seasonal work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a Crew: Manage and guide a team of dedicated snowfighters (1-5 people) through snow removal operations across a diverse range of commercial and residential properties in Toronto. As a leader, you’ll set the standard for efficiency, safety, and teamwork.
  • Operate Snow Plow Trucks: Take control of our medium to heavy-duty plow trucks, equipped with v-box spreaders for de-icing and snow clearance. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to enhance your expertise in snow removal while leading your team to success.
  • Yard Support: When you’re not out plowing, you’ll step into the yard to assist with essential tasks such as including equipment maintenance, loading or delivering salt, property maintenance or upkeep, site quality control and remediation, and other operational support related to snow and ice maintenance work, inventory management, and preparing equipment for the next snow event. This ensures you meet your minimum 50 guaranteed standby hours per pay period, a vital component to secure your seasonal EI eligibility.
  • Flexible Hours: Embrace the flexibility of working on an on-call basis, with varying hours that accommodate unpredictable weather events. While snow removal will be your main task, there will be plenty of hours to be earned in the yard during off-peak times, giving you a solid chance to maximize your earnings.
  • Senior Training: This position comes with the opportunity for continuous skill development through real-world training opportunities. You’ll receive hands-on training often, with senior group operations involvement and one on one time that allow you to practice your     leadership and supervisory techniques. The training is designed to prepare you for a wider variety of snow removal challenges (as well as potential for year round roles) while increasing your operational efficiency.
