AODA Statement of Compliance

Monster Plowing Company is committed to providing, both individually and systemically, its programs and services in a manner that is accessible to all persons with disabilities.  Monster Plowing Company recognizes the core principles of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 - independence, dignity, integration, equality, of opportunity for people with disabilities, all of which align with the core values of our organization. Monster Plowing Company supports the goals of the AODA and will establish policies, practices and procedures that are consistent with the accessibility standards established under the AODA, including information and communication, employment, built environment and transportation. Monster Plowing Company is committed to achieving the overall goal of this policy statement of identifying removing and preventing the establishment of barriers to persons with disabilities.

1. Purpose and Scope
This Accessibility Policy outlines the policies and actions that Monster Plowing Company will put into practice to improve opportunities for people with disabilities in adherence to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), 2005, and the Canadian Human Rights Act. Though Monster Plowing Company is not open to the public, we are committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities. We believe in integration, and we are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner.

2. Policy Statement
At Monster Plowing Company, we strive to treat all individuals in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in equality of opportunity and are committed to providing a barrier-free environment that is inclusive to all employees and potential employees.

3. Hiring Practices
Monster Plowing Company is committed to fair and accessible employment practices. We will take steps to accommodate disabilities during the recruitment and selection processes and when people are hired. We will notify our staff and the public that, when requested, we will accommodate disabilities during the recruitment and assessment processes and when people are hired. If needed, we will provide customized workplace emergency information to employees who have a disability.

4. Training
We will ensure that training is provided to all employees and volunteers on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities.- Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of employees and volunteers.- Staff will also be trained on an ongoing basis when changes are made to these policies.

5. Feedback
We will ensure that our feedback processes are accessible to persons with disabilities by providing or arranging for the provision of accessible formats and communication supports, upon request.- All feedback will be reviewed for action that can be taken to improve our services.

6. Modifications to This or Other Policies
We are committed to developing accessibility policies that respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities. Therefore, no changes will be made to this policy before considering the impact on people with disabilities. Any policy of Monster Plowing Company that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.

7. Questions about This Policy
If anyone has a question about the policy or its purpose, an explanation or reply will be provided in a format that takes into account the person's disability. This policy exists to achieve service excellence to customers with disabilities. If anyone has a question about the policy, or if the purpose of a policy is not understood, an explanation will be provided by Monster Plowing Company.
